Blog Best Practices

Wise man say, "Better a missile launch in May than a faux cat from last October." And my blog pictures are better, too, according to recognized authorities on such matters.

Picnics at White Sands

There is a place for picnics at White Sands National Monument. You can come and have nice lunch in the middle of the white sand. Some people were doing that. I guess the sand is so fine and soft the kids like to play in it. It is soft sand. Almost like talcum powder, according to Visitor Center. That's true. I guess. And the sand is very white, too.

I'm at the airport in El Paso waiting for my flight home.

Of Missiles and White Sands

We were delayed on the way to work this morning by the launch of a ballistic missile from the range. Luckily we were pulled over just at the top of the San Augustin Pass and were able to enjoy a perfect view, one that might even rival a faux cat.

Then, after completing our work at WSMR early, we had time to explore the White Sands National Monument. There was a lot of sand. It was white.

Tomorrow I return home and this ramble will be over.
